The Board of Directors supports the work of Rachel’s Vineyard Twin Cities and provides mission-based leadership and strategic governance. They serve as a trusted advisor to the Executive Director, who is responsible for the day to day operations.

Felicie (Fe) Mahler (Chair)

Felicie (Fe) Mahler (Chair)

Fe is a founding member of our Board of Directors and currently serves in the role of President and Chair. She is a strong supporter of the mission of Rachel’s Vineyard and has served as a facilitator on many retreats. Raised in the Catholic faith, she left the church for many years until she saw the healing power of God’s grace touch the lives of those attending the Rachel’s Vineyard retreats.

Fe is a leading executive administrator in the Twin Cities, supporting senior executives at Fortune 100 and privately held companies.  She served on the Board of Directors for local chapters of IAAP (International Association of Administrative Professionals) and chartered the award winning Skyway Chapter and won the Distinguished Chapter President’s Award multiple times. Originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Fe has lived in the Twin Cities for 30 years.  She and her husband Bryan live in East Bethel with their two Labrador Retrievers.

Pat has been on the Board since 2015 and is currently serving as Vice President. She has over forty years of experience in corporate human resources and data management roles and currently assists the Board with the annual Long Range Planning, and chairs the Nominating Committee to ensure the Board is fully staffed. Pat serves on the Life Matters Committee at her home parish of St. Patrick’s in Oak Grove and is active with the Circles of Claddagh women’s group. She and her husband share their time between Ham Lake, Minnesota and Sun Lakes, Arizona. Pat is excited to continue her service on the Board to grow this powerful ministry providing God’s healing power to all who have suffered the trauma of abortion.

Patty joined the Rachel’s Vineyard board in March 2014 and was elected to serve as Treasurer in October 2014.  Since September 2018 Patty has been the Executive Director at Options for Women | Cornerstone, a pregnancy medical resource center located in St. Michael, MN.  Previously she was a Vice President for a global financial services company in charge of expense management. She held multiple positions over a 34-year career and has experience in audit, accounting operations, internal control, and financial reporting.  Patty is as active member of her parish, St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael, MN, where she serves as chairperson of the stewardship council and loves serving at mass in the liturgical ministries. Patty is grateful for the privilege to serve on the board as it allows her to experience more deeply the healing power of God’s mercy and to actively serve in two beautiful areas of Pro-Life work.

Martin Gorman (Assistant Treasurer)

Martin joined the Rachel’s Vineyard Twin Cities board in August 2021 as Assistant Treasurer. Martin works at a wealth management firm in the Twin Cities, where he provides comprehensive financial planning, investment advisory, and strategic portfolio management services. Prior to his current role, Martin spent several years conducting financial analysis, investment research, and accounting services for a variety of firms. He holds a CPA, issued by the state of Minnesota, and several securities licenses. Martin is active in his community, his parish, and mentors a number of young professionals.

Lisa Bursey

Lisa Bursey

Lisa is a founding member of our Board of Directors and an active member of our retreat team. She has worked in the in the corporate business world for over 30 years and is the Secretary & Treasurer of her homeowner’s association. Lisa is very involved at St Michael’s Catholic Church serving as a Mass Coordinator, Eucharistic Minister, Fall Festival Committee Chair, and on the Parish Stewardship Council. She is also a founding Member of the Society of St Vincent DePaul Conference of St Michael/Albertville. Lisa lives in St Michael with her energetic cat and loves spending time with her 2 adorable nephews.

Deacon Dennis Chlebeck

Deacon Dennis Chlebeck

Deacon Dennis joined the Rachel’s Vineyard board in July 2020. He recently retired after over 40 years as a mental health therapist, primarily working in corrections. The first 15 years, he worked for the Sisters of the Good Shepherd with abused adolescent girls. He retired in 2016, having spent the last 15 years working with adult male felons for the MN Department of Corrections at Stillwater prison.

In 2009, Dennis was ordained a deacon for the Archdiocese of Saint Paul/Minneapolis and assigned to the Maternity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in St. Paul and as the Catholic chaplain for the Episcopal Homes in St. Paul. He is the spiritual advisor for the St. Paul Deanery of the Council of Catholic Women and has also served as a chaplain on several Rachel’s Vineyard retreats.

Deacon has been married to his lovely wife, Annemarie, for 47 years and they raised five children in St. Paul. They have four sons, one daughter and ten grandchildren. Their oldest son and youngest daughter are adopted and have special needs. Over the years, they have enjoyed camping all over the U.S. and still love to travel around our great nation and abroad.

Father Clinton joined the board in October 2020. He retired in June 2019 after 45 years serving as the pastor at various churches including St. Peter in Mendota and oversaw the combining of serval parishes into the New Prague Area Catholic Community. Father has a great heart for helping women and men heal from the trauma of abortion and for many years, he offered one on one counseling. He has served on several Rachel’s Vineyard Twin Cities retreats as a confessor and once as a weekend chaplain. In addition to helping to heal people, Father also has a passion for healing nature. He has been restoring the land on his family homestead back to native prairie grasses and flowers and has invited groups to soak in the beauty and see a living example of Pope Francis’ encyclical on care for the environment, “Laudato Si”.

Pete has been a member of our Board of Directors since April 2021 and is an active member of our retreat team since 2013.  He currently works for Catholic United Financial and is active at his Parish of Saint Joseph in Rosemount. He helped start Pregnancy Choices of Apple Valley in 2006 and served as Chair for the first 6 years. Pete is married to his wife, Danielle for 29 years and they have 4 children: ages 28, 24, 20, and 14.

Sandy Day

Sandy Day

Sandy joined our Board of Directors in June 2021 and has been an active member of our retreat team since 2020.  She is a retired physician having had over a 30-year career in general medicine and is board certified in psychiatry and neurology.  She has a B.S. from UC Berkeley, an M.D. from UCSF School of Medicine, and a residency at the Univ. of MN School of Medicine, where she conducted clinical double blind medical research studies at the Minneapolis VAMC.  Her clinical research papers have been published in peer reviewed medical journals.  The most profound life altering event was when she attended a Rachel’s Vineyard retreat in 2019.  She became passionate about the mission of Rachel’s Vineyard, having experienced the transforming love and mercy of God, and has been subsequently honored to help facilitate at several retreats where retreatants also have experienced the mercy of God.  She has attended conferences with Dr. Theresa Burke and has been eager to embrace projects on the Board of Directors.  Sandy is married, resides in the Twin Cities, and is an active lector and sacristan in her parish.  She loves traveling, playing pickleball, riding her bicycle with a club, and singing worship music.

Jean is one of the founding members of the board and is Immediate Past President. She attended St. Olaf College and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Education from Carthage College. She served on the board of directors and was the Executive Director of Reachout Pregnancy Center in Tucson, Arizona. She was the founder and site leader of the Rachel’s Vineyard Retreats in Tucson, Arizona and organized a regional Rachel’s Vineyard Conference featuring Theresa and Kevin Burke. She has been a small business owner. Jean feels called to serve in the Rachel’s Vineyard ministry. Her desire is to see men and women healed from the pain of a past abortion and come to the knowledge, love and mercy of Jesus Christ.

She is an attorney who served as the administrator and Director of Parish Life at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Minneapolis. Her legal experience includes prosecution, private practice in the areas of insurance defense and family law, and civics education. She’s attended national RV conferences in Louisiana and Pennsylvania, as well as regional conferences in Minnesota and North Dakota. Nancy is a mentor and trainer for new site leaders and has helped to establish new Rachel’s Vineyard sites in AZ, IL, MN, MO, NJ, WI, Canada, Russia, and a Spanish speaking team for the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. She also works part time for a manufacturing company.  In her free time Nancy enjoys technology, card making, beading, and gardening. She’s a 1990 convert to the Catholic faith, a Secular Carmelite, and lives with 2 of the world’s most adorable kitties.

Danya Spencer

Danya Spencer

Danya served on the board of Rachel’s Vineyard from 2014 to 2019. She brought her marketing/small business experience as a self-employed Realtor for 19+ years as well as considerable volunteer/fundraising experience in the community, arts, education and church sectors serving on boards and committees over the years. Danya’s own connection with Rachel’s Vineyard began the healing and acceptance process, and she feels anyone suffering with guilt and shame deserves the loving, spiritual healing, forgiveness… and hope that Rachel’s Vineyard offers.

Danya served on the board of Rachel’s Vineyard from 2014 to 2019. Jacob Knadle

Jacob was one of the founding members of the board and served from June 2010 to January 2014. He is an attorney, licensed to practice in the state of Wisconsin and Minnesota and has his Masters Degree in Business Administration. He works in marketing for a local company. He is also active in volunteer work throughout the community and is a strong supporter of the mission of Rachel’s Vineyard.

Jacob was one of the founding members of the board and served from June 2010 to January 2014. He is an attorney, licensed to practice in the state of Wisconsin and Minnesota and has his Masters Degree in Business Administration. He works in marketing for a local company. He is also active in volunteer work throughout the community and is a strong supporter of the mission of Rachel’s Vineyard.
